Qantas Cash Card

Some places are so security conscious that you have to phone up call centre to get them to reset the password!
My super fund is like that, I can't reset my password online, and even if I type in all my correct details, name, email address, date of birth, etc, it won't recognise me.
I do like the current QCC system as well.
So many passwords, worst is that the VGW also needs a passpword, my work PIN pad needs a pass code, my bank account needs needs a password/PIN...
And they say we are not supposed to have the same password for all our connections with the web.

I'd prefer a change in the way they do passwords. I make my passwords 30 characters long if possible and store them in a password program so I can just copy and paste from that program. All I need to remember is one really long password to get me into the password storage program.

I'm the same, and I resent the QCC system. I rarely use it though, so I don't really care enough to even complain :)

Me too, I use a password programme that will even generate very strong passwords.

The password system has changed. I assume it updated overnight, and you now no longer need to enter specific characters.

I haven't logged in for a while. Do you now get the option of changing your password and increasing the length well beyond 8 characters?

Probably but I'd need to find a reason to actually use the card to sign on so haven't found out!

More than 8 now ok, but upper and lower case needed, and cannot be consecutive as in alpha numeric.
9111 cannot, but 9763 can. And thats not part of my code, just using as an example.
Can set up with them sending you an email of a temporary password, but you do need QF FF #, email address, and mothers maiden name info and date of birth.
Edit: Burmans, both the QCC and the VGW are perfect for me, haven't tried of late, but got denied a credit card application once, got denied a post paid Optus account once, ...

Has anyone used this card as a Mastercard Debit card to pay for a Tiger flight?
Do Tiger charge the $8.50 per flight using this cash card?

Can anyone confirm Jetstar do not charge any $8.50 booking fee using the Qantas Cash card?
Edit: Rang them So if purchased within 7 days of flight booking fee waivered!

QC = fee free with Tiger, but not for Deathstar ( longer than 7 days out ). But then plenty of time for a Direct Deposit ( using their BSB etc. )

Just got an offer of 3000 points if I load $1000 onto the card specifically:

Register and load at least AU$1,000 equivalent directly in foreign currency in one transaction by 31 March 2015.

That means I can't just load it with $A I assume.

I've never used the card so perhaps they are giving me an incentive. Or maybe it's a general offer. We'll see what others get.

I got the same offer and would also like a clarification. I'm off to NZ in a few weeks so it might be good timing.

Don't think you can put in any currency apart from Aud$ first, then convert to foreign currency within QCC.
I have to put in Aud$ first then use QCC's forex rates to convert my Aud$ to Nzd$ each time I load and need Nzd$.

Yes, an incentive I rec'd too, and each incentive I get is more points than the previous one. I guess that means I need to read the previous 470 posts to see what it's all about. Sigh.

Gosh, why does it always have to be so complicated – can't they just explain what we need to do and be done with it?!

If I could load Australian dollars it would be an easy 3000 points. I got the offer as well. The only time I've used foreign currency on the Qantas cash card is when I had to convert to American dollars for an online shopping website which wouldn't accept Australian dollars. I guess that's why I got targeted for the offer. I'm not travelling overseas soon so I don't think the offer is any good for me. I think I'd lose on the conversion if I tried to do it just for points.

I just talked to a Qantas rep and was told that a simple load of A$1000 is sufficient to become eligible for the 3,000 QFF points. I was told no currency transfer is needed. I'd still check that though, as I've been burnt before.

I guess you can always spend that grand in Australia, too.

Edit: Don't forget to register before loading the amount. ;)
