Very interesting article. Nice to have a big summary like that and all the info in one place.

Not entirely accurate though... how about this; "Another great deal for First Classers is Qantas First Class Suites to Australia for 140,000 miles each way, or 70,000 miles for a oneway. In general, this is one of the best prices for First Class to Australia and Qantas has some of the best direct US to Australia availability… which I suppose doesn’t say much."

I don't know where they've found this magical availability!!

I've applied for one of their credit cards, after getting one of the offers handed to me on the plane, with some juicy sign up bonus miles. I asked if non residents can apply, and the FA said "Sure!" (and there was noting on the form to say otherwise). I filled it out there and there and handed it back (I'm sure they were on some sort of reward for getting applicants).

No dice. :(
