Saw that. Though he doesn't seem to actually be chasing status.

That's pretty awesome!

Hope QF presents me with some symbolic keys one day :p

I'm on 283 Qantas flights right now, so a little short but looking good I hope! :D

What a nice story. Good luck John!

PS....I wonder if the keys work. If you see that 737 trundling down a motorway somewhere I'd be guessing, yes! ;)

1000 (soon to be) flights by the lowest amount of SC of 10 (yes he started before status credits, but not all his flights would earn so low either) gives a total of at least 10,000 lifetime SC... so he's probably LTG by now too. I note the article says he goes to the lounge, but didn't say whether he paid for it or earned it :p

Impressive number of flight to NYC and LON.... Great way to see out your end of days.

IMO One of the potential benefits of the J lounge on the A380 is that if you die you may be laid out there. In not sure if that's a J "benefit" or available to all upstairs pax. F will remain In their expensive seats.

The problem with sitting a newly dead corpse in Y is that rigor Mortis will set in and it will be difficult to remove a Y corpse until rigor Mortis subsides.

Boy I hope John is not reading these posts......you lot have him dead and buried already. I read his comments to mean death is a long way from his thinking and at 82 he hopefully has many, many more years left yet.
