Any ideas out there who is generous with status matching at the moment. I am QF Plat to end of October and VA Plat to end of June next year and wouldn't mind trying to do a match with the QF one ( oh how I will miss the F lounge in Syd). Thanks in advance

A question to you would be where do you see yourself travelling that wont be covered by the two statuses you have already? ;)

CX will probably offer a match to Silver or Gold based on history - both will give access to J OW lounges when flying on CX which probably isn't much use if you're going to drop to QF SG anyway but could be useful if you intend to do a lot of CX travel as this is usually best credited to their program for building status and op-ups.

I am more looking for a crafty way to try and retain my OWE status - its access to the First lounges in SYd, LHR and LAX that are of most use to me

Unless you're racking up the miles every year, CX is probably not for you then.

If you're frequently in the US, have you considered status running in premium classes (as QFF is easy to build status through premium flying)?
