A couple of weeks ago I dropped down from Velocity Silver to Red (or whatever it is).

Today, the 18th of September, I get a breathless e-mail from Velocity telling me that YES! I can re-qualify for Silver. All I have to do is earn 40 Status Credits by ... (drum roll) .. the 15th of September :D

Oh joy, flying Nirvana so easily within my grasp.

Plonkers. Honestly, how hard is it to align and schedule these things based on dates?

Why do we get such nitwits working in Australian Airlines IT/marketing?

Maybe it is for 15th September 2015? That would give you almost 12 months. :p

The good thing is that they publish for you a rolling schedule of how many SCs you need to earn by what date to re-qualify up. I think my next hurdle is 50 SCs by sometime in November. I'll probably get another reminder a few days after that!

Hi RooFlyer,

Whoops! Sorry, it certainly sounds like something went wrong with the timing of our Comms.
Could you please P.M. me with your member number and, if possible, the details of the email you received so that we can investigate.

Kind Regards,
Velocity Team

VFF and I have swapped a couple of PMs; Velocity believe that their e-mail was all pukker, and I am impressed by their diligence and courtesy. Being a frequent, rather than perfect flyer, I may have misread the linked info, but I don't think so. Let me say that the follow-up negated any negative thoughts I had.

Thanks Velocity frequent Flyer. :)
