Hi All,

Just recently become active in the points game in the last 4 months and have accumulated 115kAmex and 200kANZ reward points which i believe translate to 203k Velocity (115k+88k).

My aim is a trip to Europe in Aug/Sep 2015 and a trip to LA/NY in 2016. I also think it would be helpful to get some SC to get Silver/Gold, and with 2Ad&2Ch pooling to one account this should be easily achieved. We are probably also going to go to Qld early next year on paid flights that we will book this Saturday on the dbl points offer. Given the number of people and that one of my kids is in a difficult flying age (will be 2.5 when we go first trip) I am content flying in economy.

1. My question is for Europe if I pay for one flight and claim three on points (125000x3) is it better to pay for the childs flight or mine? his should be a little cheaper, but will it be a different code different SC & points situation?

2. Also am i right that it will be approx $215pp and 125,000pp points return to Paris/London?

3. My preference for flights would be Rome, but it wouldn't calculate that, is this not serviced?

4. Also are all these flights with Etihad (via Abu Dhabi) or are some Singapore via Singapore?

Finally thank you for your help!

1- The cheaper fares do not normally offer child discounts. VA are offering early bird sale fares ( codeshare with EY) to Rome around the 1700 return level in AUG- These fares will earn discount economy points and SC

2- Yes 125000+ tax to Europe if using EY/VA . It will be 150000 + tax using SQ

3- It is serviced, but you might have to call to book

4- You have both options, but SQ will be a higher points level

Thanks! :) One more.... what is availability like? I almost have two fares, but if i wait another 3 months I should have another 1 to 2 tickets depending on work expenses i can pay.
