Hi all,

My partner and I will be travelling EY from Perth to Paris via Abu Dhabi in a weeks time. I've been able to make Velocity Gold for the first time so we're excited about being able to enter these heavily guarded international lounges to see how the other half live.

I can't seem to find out what lounge access we have in Perth before the flight, and a little bit ambiguous as to what lounge access at Abu Dhabi also.

So:
Perth - Qantas Lounge access via Etihad?!
Abu Dhabi - Al Rheem undergoing renovations until October, so Al Dhabi lounge... Do we also have access to Etihad Pearl Business lounge?
Paris - Etihad Business Class lounge?

Any suggestions, recommendations or advice would be highly appreciated.

Thanks :)

Hi Tranga,

No lounge access for Velocity Gold/Platinum in Perth when flying Etihad I'm afraid.

In Abu Dhabi - no access to the Pearl Business Lounge unless flying business class. Velocity Gold members can use the Al Dhabi lounge with one guest, or the Al Reem lounge when it reopens.

In Paris - Velocity Gold plus one guest to the Etihad Pearl Business Lounge. :)

VA has a new-ish website where you can select your eligibility (e.g. Velocity Gold/Platinum, business class etc.), and then which partner airline you're flying with, and then it shows a list of airport lounges that you'll have access to. :)

Thanks for the reply ChrisFlyer...

Bugger... We were hoping that the website wasn't totally up to date and we could access some of the reciprocal benefits with Etihad/Virgin.

Thanks anyway :)

So when the Al Reem lounge reopens, will VA gold still have access to Al Dhabi lounge?

Hi Tranga,

I must apologise that our website isn't quite up to date... you can use the Qantas Lounge in PER International.. You are entitled entry to EY third party lounges and this is the one they use in PER.

Enjoy your trip....:)
