Hmm this is quite unusual.

I whipped out my first bill to grab you the bpay code, it's 6007 btw.

The account number should be your visa's number.
Just noticed my account number's last 2 digits are different than the last 2 digits on my visa card :S

Is this normal?

Edit:

Just logged into the anz online, the account number listed there is my visa's card number, different from the one on the bill.

Time to give ANZ a call i think, before I make payment to someone else's card.
I had this issue in the past, the credit card number on the statement was not the one on my card. I actually considered disputing it on this basis but in reality I always knew it was just a mistake. Amazing this is still a problem though, cancelled last card a few years ago!

They're saying it's by design. For the purpose of security.

Also I assume it was confirmed that doing this will result in two lots of the 50k point sign up bonus? And thinking of applying for the basic and platinum cards.

I am not sure anyone has confirmed that.

I believe that some people who were existing customers BEFORE the promo have had it confirmed that they can apply for a NEW card and get the bonus, and that they will not get the bonus if they transfer.

Has anyone had any experience changing reward programs with ANZ? That is, I want to jump on and get 50k QFF and then switch to ANZ rewards.

I suggest to those waiting more than a week call them, 1800 092 098 and they will either approve or not approve on the spot.

Just called up now, he confirmed by salary details and the card will be with you in a 4/5 business days.

Thank god I called. Very odd.

Just working through applications! A week after I applied I finally got an email asking for proof of salary, sent it through and the same day got an alert from Veda. Sounds to me like they have just been swamped, no wonder, fee free and 50K points, no doubt this has been on ozbargain etc.

Contactless doesn't work on my AMEX card. Have to ring up again.

Same. Where did you attempt contactless payment? My experience with my non-bank contactless enabled AMEX suggests that AMEX contactless cards aren't compatible with the vast majority of contactless POS terminals which only take VISA or Mastercard even if the merchant themselves accept AMEX. It's only ever worked at petrol stations and supermarkets. I thought a bank-issued AMEX would be more compatible but doesn't appear to be the case.

Restaurant, bar and petrol station. New card ordered either way.

oh thats a long time might give them a call to verify tomorrow thx

The frequently over quote this period but not sure what you expect a call to achieve, you'll just spend considerable time on the phone to be told what you now already know, they'll just regurgitate the T&Cs.

To save a call, the contact center operator indicated that the bonus Points will be credited on the 4th statement regardless of when you've fulfilled the offer within the eligible period. Who knows whether that's what will happen in reality but that's likely the official line they're going with and you're therefore unlikely to get a different answer.

Yep definitely think they are swamped. I received my welcome pack and pins in the mail and then got a text message last Friday stating:
ANZ: Due to unforeseen circumstances, your new ANZ credit cards have been delayed but should be delivered to you by 30/07. We apologise for any inconvenience.

I received the same SMS - I think it's a batch problem with production of the cards.

SWMBO applied after me and received her cards today - activated and paid house insurance which ensured the $1,500 was covered by ++++ margin.
