Very unhappy with plat customer service

I stopped receiving emails over a year ago.I occasionally I will mention this when on the phone to velocity but still no monthly statement.All the boxes are checked in my profile.

you found out a month before re qualifying
just take a flight the day before your due date I and to do that .
I needed 20 sc to re qual for plat so did a return flight we all have to do this occasionally.

Geez - give the guy a break - it seems he's fully aware NOW that he wasn't entitled to the offer, but i can understand given the circumstances why he's a little peeved - especially if the system let him register and believe he was gonna get the double SC's

Also surprised there isn't any flexibility for someone 10SC short for requal - given how freely Virgin gave out status matches (and renewed people) with little or no flying.

Not a good way to treat an obviously loyal flyer (Flies in J, and obviously a fair bit of flying to get 790 SC's in a year)

I had the same issue - used a link provided as at the time I wasn't receiving any emails from VFF. Entered my FF number and received confirmation I was registered. Did a status run of 100 SC (200 SC with the promo) but only received the 100 SC to the account. Contacted Platinum Line twice and both ladies advised they could see that I had registered and weren't sure why I didn't get the double SC. Three days later received an email saying they checked their system and that I wasn't registered. Didn't think to do a screen shot of the registration confirmation. If I wasn't eligible, I wouldn't have bothered with the status run. Won't requal for platinum (800 SC) now as don't have enough time ( qual period end of May and still 140 SC short). Will have to go to the 1000 SC again - bugger!!!
 
First the told you were you were registered... then they told you that you weren't registered...

Yet again a plain lack of professionalism from Velocity... but that's nothing new.

I will say though that in these circumstances that persistence generally pays off ;)
 
I registered via the link that was provided here for both double points and status credits. Both links noted my registration, however I chose not to risk the $$$ outlay, as I had not received the email directly and therefore was not sure of my entitlement. I too, had not received monthly emails from Velocity for over a year until recently, when the matter was escalated with VA and finally fixed.

I am still peed off that I missed about 13 months where, in all probability, I would have been targeted for one or more offers.

I have replied to their email querying the registration and got the usual we shall respond in 5 days. We are up to 8 days now and still nothing. Whilst I get that I may not have been sent the email and therefore didn't qualify (although not being able to receive emails, I can't verify that) for them to say I don't get the double SC because I hadn't registered when indeed I had is incorrect - just tell me I wasn't eligible for the promo. This is what annoys me most.:evil:
