More classic Y awards that are actually worth something. Points plus pay rates for redeeming on QF better than what you can purchase woolies vouchers for!

Recent example, SIN-MEL return:
Commercial fare : $570 AUD. Points earnt as SG = 13,122 = $86 in Woolies vouchers. Net fare = $484.
Classic award: 60,000 pts + $484. Value of points = ZERO.
Points plus pay: 109,800 pts + nothing. , same points can get $727 worth of Woolies vouchers- so $157 better off redeeming points at Woolies than on QF!

This is what I call taking the p#ss.

Apart from the last one, aren't you asking QFF to do a u-turn on previous 'enhancements'? Seems unlikely......

- Stop double SC offers

As a recipient of two DSCs this membership year, I'd fully endorse this ... IF the current SCs remained after 1 July.

Travelling weekly on the golden triangle with Discount-Y should, in my book, be the tipping point for WP. With various DSCs, this can bring forward the WP retention ... what incentive then to continue .... P1 is way out of reach and should (again, in my book) be the realm of those who travel weekly in J or fairly heavy International flyers.

Take away a carrot which punishes QF but throw away the stick that punishes your most loyal Customers.

Regards,

BD

They've done turnarounds in the past... eg banning PS from J check in at dom was one which got very quickly changed back (well 6 months, that's barely a blink of the eye in terms of policy reversals).

- Lifetime Platinum
- If no LTP then a sort of LTG+ which gives F-Lounge access on QF.
- Additional Lounge passes for friends/guest/family - especially when using Oneworld airlines.
- More FF-Partners outside Australia (Credit Card, Hotel,...)
- Same SC on Partner Flights (especially where QF does not fly).
- More Airlines with Status-Bonus
- SCs on EK or QF codes on EK at a reasonable price.
- Upgrades on Airlines other than QF
- Confirmed Upgrades
- More classes than Y that earn Full Eco SCs on Partner Airlines
- Possible to take the SCs that over the threshold into the next membership year.

What I miss but won't reinstated:
- Codeshare, Statusbonus, Minimum Miles with BA
- Flights from FRA and LHR to SIN and HGK on own metal
- Loyalty-Bonus for all airlines again
- Anytime Lounge Access!

Points upgrades on the discount fare classes that currently aren't upgradable for WPs.

+1 to the suggestion to grant a small number of lounge passes per year for when you take a holiday with more than one friend/family member.

Plus one on this ! and may I say that they are very reasonable requests IMHO indeed

Yep, they all sound good to me. Only thing I could think of adding would be some sort of limited family pooling.

but they already have a limited family pooling of points with free transfers.more generous than a lot of other programs.

True... I was thinking more along the lines of SC's ;)

If this happened I can see a big rise in the numbers of SG and WP and a big rise in the complaints from those who might perceive that their benefits were being eroded due to overcrowding, "unworthy" P1's etc etc

Have to agree with this. I'd be WP1+ on the back of my two kids that took one (paid) holiday. QF doesn't need to offer this unlike others!

We'd be in clover too, WP1, WP and in a good year an SG.
I think the chances of them offering it are the same as the chances of ATA returning and I agree I cannot see why they would do this.

Thing is, it wouldn't need to be a 1:1 transfer of SCs, just a portion. Irks me when I pay for 8 trips to the UK for family and get SCs for 1 :)

... genuinely interested ...

Evidence ?

It would be stupid of them not to "appear" to be interested. But actions speak louder than words. And all the actions are in the opposite direction.

I suspect the only thing they're interested in is selling QFF to the highest bidder, which means stripping out the benefits first.

I think a fairer way would be to re-introduce the loyalty bonus for NB by not re-setting the SC's annually.

Couldn't agree more. The changes to the loyalty bonus did nothing to reflect loyalty. In fact, and with the 20:20 hindsight of recent changes, it was the first of the changes aimed at encouraging higher spend, than greater loyalty.

I've said it before (to Qantas too) and I'll say it again, if you only fly 3 times a year, but all flights are with Qantas, then you are loyal and you deserve a loyalty bonus, even if it takes 3 years to reach the 500 SCs required.

There will be less Golds and Platinums post 01 July 2014. So why not introduce more ways to boost the numbers?
