EY will be operating daily A380 services to MEL from June 1, 2016. The other daily flight will remain 77W for now, I sure know which EY will be more popular from now on ;)

Excellent news! Now just need to wait and hope EY will offer guest awards on this route.

Oh well, maybe J then. It should also be better on A380 then B777.

Yes it is but when you're in J on the 380 you really want to be just slightly more towards the pointy end in F :)

I've found some availability out of melbourne....

Surprisingly there is actually some reasonable availability MEL-AUH-LHR A380 F all the way, even for two pax (only checked for July) but not so much on the return.

I'm not sure I can go then but still very tempted to book something before all seats will disappear like it happened on SYD route.

Indeed, although it's a shame AA will not price Australia to Europe on EY as a single award (unlike on QF and QR). I am hence looking for F to AUH and then J after that.

Booked BNE-MEL-AUH-LHR 100K + $AU91.

Took less then 10 min to book over the phone (called AA SYD number). Flights in July, hope I'll be able to use them.

I presume this is all in First class? :)

I can easily get 1A on the QF leg but for some reason EY refused to give me that seat ;)

Looking on EF for EY flights in SEP16, the schedule shows they fly via DOHA from Perth which seems odd. Is this the same ex Melbourne?

Very odd. EY fly via AUH and QR via DOH.
