We have just released our iPhone application! You can use this application for easy access to our online Community from your iPhone.

The application is available as a FREE DOWNLOAD from the iPhone App Store.

Anyone can view AFF from the application. No need to purchase anything (other than the iPhone!)

Our GOLD and SILVER members can login to AFF via the application, and participate in Community activities (post, message, blog etc).

We are proud to announce the release of the latest version of our popular iPhone Application. As usual, you can download it directly from the App Store HERE.

In addition to significant User Interface improvements, the new version has two fantastic new features:

1. The ability to easily upload an image to your posting. The image can be from your iPhone's camera or Photo Library or a real time Google map of your location.
2. The ability to record your "Footprint" so that other AFF members (who use the iPhone App) can follow your movements.

Previously, our non-paying members had limited access to the iPhone App. We are now - on a trial basis - giving all our members full access to the iPhone Application. So, even if you are not a GOLD or SILVER member, you can now login to AFF via your iPhone and post, check your PMs, and use these new features. Please note that this is offered on a trial basis - we do reserve the right to restrict full usage to paying members at some point in the future.

Regarding the Footprint feature: I understand some users may have privacy concerns as your physical location is recorded and available to other AFF iPhone users. If aren't comfortable with this, then don't use the feature. It's entirely optional: to activate you need to either "Check In". See diagram

or change the default setting "FootPrint with Post" from OFF to ON. See diagram

Please also note that your physical location data is not stored on our server. It is stored on our vendor's (Tapatalk) computer. We are satisfied that they have adequate procedures in place to protect your privacy, but we are not responsible for any misuse - however unlikely. Tapatalk store the location data only - everything else is stored on our server.

Also note that currently only iPhone App users can view your location. You can delete your Footprint at any time.

Now that we have stressed the privacy point, please consider how you can use this innovative new feature - its ideal for tracking your movements while traveling, locating other members in foreign cities or airport lounges etc etc. As far as I know, AFF is the 1st Community forum to offer this feature.
