Hi there
I have booked 3 economy seats with Qantas for my wife and myself travelling to the US end of Dec.
Just noticed that Premium Economy will be available by then.
I'm wondering if any of you who have travelled in Qantas Premium Economy can tell me whether it would be worth my while giving up the 3 economy seats for 2 Premium Economy seats.
Putting aside the extra cost and benefits, are my wife and I really going to get that much more room with 2 seats vs 3 seats ?
cheers
If the seats were available, I would take 2 x premium economy over 3 x economy seats for two people travelling together. The issue will be whether you can find 2 premium economy award seats on the days you want to fly.

I would take the Premium Economy option any day of the week, no contest....though i'd prefer a 1 J seat instead of 2 Y+...perhaps leave the wife home!

You would earn more points with the 3 Y seats than the 2 Y+ seats I believe..
Air: QFF Gold (LTS), MH Enrich (Silver), Velocity Gold

Thks guys.
Your comments re " a happy wife is a happy life" are very pertinent.
Earlier this year we were upgraded from Business to First with BA on their London/HK leg.
When we flew back to Sydney from HK with Qantas my wife commented that she just couldn't see herself flying Economy again. I pointed out to her that we were in fact flying Business and her reply......yes that's the new Economy !!!
She's in for a shock at the end of the year.
So, it seems the general feeling is that we will get more leg room in Premium Economy over the 3 Economy seats ????
cheers
I think there are alot of wives in for a shock this year, with the stock market downturn there's been quite a few who normally only travel business who are travelling Y this year.
I think you'll definately have more legroom in 2xY+ over 3xY

I think it depends on your "physique" - tall slim people will get more benefit from Y+ whereas people of a size might find a seat per cheek more comfortable...
I have my iPad... it is ... precious to me...
