OK - there is a reason that Easyjet, Southwest and Tiger did/do these shows.
Because they do work and define an image with the public. Any image would be better than the one Tiger gets given from the general media reportning on their many slip ups.
The marketing message Tiger are pushing with this is 'we are very cheap, we are no frills but we are fair - we are different and you need to familrise yourself with why and how we are different'
Thats it. Everything they do and show supports this sentence above.
Note the editing and slant of the VO on the show. Tiger is always fair, it always operates within its conditions of carriage, the passengers are always wrong (even if they are honestly wrong not decieving wrong). Market research on these shows indicate clearly that the public will side with the party that is 'in the right' and the editing of the show leaves no doubt that the passengers are either just stupid or have not familiarised themselves with Tiger and its terms
Blend in a few 'feel good my kid is sick/getting married/first time flyer im going to the gold coast' stories and you have a ratings winner.
It is one big marketing campaign and is working very very very well.
I can't beleive people (on here) think its a real documentary seriesahahah its a mockumentary at best and you should SEE the legal agreement Tiger has with the production company on the way things are potrayed and what goes to air and what remains on the edit suite floor......
Buy two really cheap tickets on the same flight (vary your name slightly).
Dress smart casual, wear false beard and glasses and line up when check-in opens. Check-in early; secure boarding pass.
Go to QP for an HP or two (WP/CL only). Lose glasses, beard and smart casual; dress vivid bogan.
Head back up after T-40 and try to check in. Be denied, complain loudly, don't swear, be obvious, don't break any law, keep complaining, refuse to pay more to be rebooked.
Hang around terminal, when boarding commences, queue up. ...
... be ready to produce original BP at last moment.

Do they check ID carefully? If so remember to use your real name for the first check in.
Also, is there a way to pay cash for a ticket? If not you may have to get someone else to pay for you so they can't match the names via a credit card etc.
Would be worth doing to see the look on their faces.
Although I reckon they would find a reason to deny you boarding and call the police to escort you off the premises.
Back to the show, I wonder how many people just don't show up a minute late etc because they are afraid of ending up looking like an idiot on television if they complain. Maybe the show actually prevents a lot of complaints? It clearly sets the standards, however much we may disagree with them, and sets out how people will be dealt with, So no use arguing, suck it up and move on is the best way and denies Tiger of footage for their advertorial.
And it is back on television tonight at 7.30 AEST.
Can't wait to see what they'll show tonight.
Seemed the usual crowd, although the staff weren't quite as threatening as they used to be. Not much has changed though!
I can't believe people who fly do not have $100 on them - some even less than $20. Vagrants the lot of them. BTW: pictures of long lines and delays not shown, and there was effort not to show 'holding bay' of T4.
