Hi
Just wondering if you are refused a visa for the us will this effect entry to Japan? Minor shoplifting (non conviction) charge and fine 5 years ago so fingers crossed we will get the visa approval. However we have also booked a holiday to Japan in 6 weeks.
Also does anyone no the average time it is taking to get your passport back i think we will be cutting it fine![]()
I don't know about Japan, but were you refused entry by the USA?
On your landing card before your entry into Japan there is a question - 'Have you ever been found guilty in any court in Japan or any other country' as stated by clifford if you don't tell they won't know.
You should give them a call and ask them to send it back to you.
If your US Visa is approved you'll just need to return it to them to have it issued.
When I called to get my dad's passport back they were really nice and said it was no problem, you can get your passport back at any time.
I'm not sure about them stamping anything in your passport though if it's refused sorry.
Good luck!
I have visited Japan about 3 times and never noticed the question re convictions etc...
I must have been through immi in a daze...
I have my iPad... it is ... precious to me...
No worries. I called them on Wednesday and we had it back on Friday. They sent it back in the express post envelope we provided at the interview.
