I don't know about Japan, but were you refused entry by the USA?

I think the implication was yes, but if you don't tell, they won't know.

On your landing card before your entry into Japan there is a question - 'Have you ever been found guilty in any court in Japan or any other country' as stated by clifford if you don't tell they won't know.

Does anything get put on your passport to say you have been refused a visa to the United States? Will they see this when we show our passport in jaPAN?

You should give them a call and ask them to send it back to you.

If your US Visa is approved you'll just need to return it to them to have it issued.

When I called to get my dad's passport back they were really nice and said it was no problem, you can get your passport back at any time.

I'm not sure about them stamping anything in your passport though if it's refused sorry.

    Good luck!

No worries. I called them on Wednesday and we had it back on Friday. They sent it back in the express post envelope we provided at the interview.
