I guess the main benefit of EF is the ability to set up an alert for the release of new award seats....

And check seat maps, and check availability of A/D

I still use EF a lot - and have never used it for QF awards...

Does this show only QF flights or any awards bookable through QF (i.e. does it have CX availability?)

These are only for QF flights, if codeshares happen to show up then I would call QF to confirm the availability on the partner airline because we're querying the QF specific award classes.

I know i'm bumping an old thread, but i just had to express my joy at expertflyer!

i had been looking at award availability for per-wlg (wellington) for next weekend and had come up with nothing. seats released mel-wlg but not per-wlg, as no per-mel seats were available (or per-syd) to connect with it.

but i thought i'd sign up for expert flyer and see what all the fuss is about...wow

it listed an award that wasn't listed on qf, codeshare jq flight to MEL and then the qf flight to wlg. so i rang qantas and booked over the phone, with (obviously) the telephone booking fee waived.

thanks expertflyer. If the trip eventuates, you've saved me money!
