With the launch of new MEL to NLK services Norfolk Air appear to have to position their aircraft fro SYD to MEL to OP the service.
They are selling all inclusive fares one way of $1![]()
The only 3 slight downsides are
1/its a VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVery old 737-200 but for $1 who cares
2/its only 1 day per week (a Fri ex SYD) and from the INT terminal
3/ they dont appear to have a return from MEL so you'll have to mix and match with the airline of yr choice for the return
So jump in now seats avail across the MEL cup and peak Xmas hols

Apparently OzJet wetleases their planes to Norfolk Air... Hmmm. Another chance to fly on OzJet on the SYD-MEL route![]()
I think you will find it's changed a bit since you last flew - no longer all business class seats. And also it's D-sticker operations through international terminal.Originally Posted by Mal

Now if I want to fly SYD-OOL (on A Friday), it's cheaper to go:
SYD-MEL on Norfolk - $1
MEL-OOL on Tiger - $49 or so.
Some of the $1 fares (actually -$61 given the taxes) already gone
and reverting to what appears to be a regular fare of $95 all-in
Still good
Now that was the best $1 airfare sale I have ever seen... the system worked flawlessly, availability (on the one flight a week) was good... AND if I turn up to everything that I have just purchased, I will become NorfolkAir's number one customer. LOL
Mind you, I have always considered $50 a reasonable price to pay between Sydney & Melbourne one way, so a whole heap of contingency $1.02 airfares is a fair trade off.
Now I can wait and see -
1, if I need to go to Melbourne on a Friday over the next year, and
2, if I can get back. LOL
Thank you AFF posters, & of course OZ JET!
P.S. Would have been more helpful if they had remembered my details each booking.
