Looks good. There is the same cashback offer on Jetabroad. I may now have to make a decision. I need a one-way ticket LHR-SYD in October 2010. The cheapest fare (Y) has been around $800 for booking about 8 months ahead. Now I can book one year ahead at a net $799 (after $199 cashback) on the QF A380. Do I book now or wait 4 months and see if a new paypal cashback offer emerges? The current one is supposed to end in December.

This PayPal/FC cash back offer seems to be for domestic flights only.

Re: Flight Centre: 20% cashback when paying with paypal

Pity about the limit of one cashback per paypal account, as it would be a nice opportunity to book $1000 worth of fully refundable travel (QF J perhaps), get the 20% back, then cancel the flight with the airline for a refund. Might be a hassle getting the money back, but the T&Cs don't say you have to fly.

Anyone wanting to get around the limitation to domestic flights only, I am sure you would be able to book the QF refundable (J or Y etc), then cancel get a credit, the apply that to your chosen international booking.

Both probably won't work. Flight Centre will own the booking, and will likely know exactly what you paid for the ticket. Any changes will normally have to go through them.

What is it with PayPal at the moment? Webjet had a $150 cashback on international bookings (until 31 October). Maybe they're making a big push to get recognised in this time of increasing credit card fees.

Besides, they normally have cancellation charges of their own. Even if the airfare is fully refundable, I'm not sure their booking cancellation would be without charge - and they can be significant.
