I have not used the Board Room at LAX but I have used the one in SEA.

Across the board the Alaska product is very good so I would be surprised if the LAX lounge was any different.

So what is the deal with lounge access, as far as I can tell only Alaska elite pax and board room members get access, is there any reciprocal membership for O/W or A/C?

I'm a lowly bronze so that's out of the question for me... but ive got 6 hours to kill in LAX and they offer a day pass for $30 USD

Nope - you'd need to purchase a day pass if you didn't otherwise qualify for access.

I had 5 hours to kill once Oops, didn't know I could buy a pass, actually didn't look into it. Sat outside, had hungry jacks and drank starbucks! How American!

Yes but I think it is more to do with flying in First rather than being WP or SG. I cannot find the link right now but I have seen it in the past and we have used the boardroom under the circumstances you mention.

I like the lounge in LAX. Better range of snacks than than the AA lounge. Free non-alcoholic drinks. Nice sofas and split up into various areas to get some privacy. Good views of the runway too.

I got in with Mrs Flying Fox using my QC card.
