I just went to the Bestflights.com.au site after reading Mal's post about $50 off international itineraries.

What struck me was a link to another page offering Y+ seating on flights to PEK and PVG (see here)

These (direct) flights are scheduled on A330's, but I wasn't aware of Y+ seating being fitted to these a/c.

I can only assume that the Y+ is to HKG on the 744 with a subsequent connection to either PEK or PVG.

A tad misleading perhaps......

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Agree its got to be via HKG with the 'one free stopover', ability to pay more for two.

From May-08 as well which probably makes sense for a HK 747.
Although what planes fly HKG-PVG - can't recall CX doing it maybe KA.
Certainly CX does do some HKG-PEK

Both CX and KA fly HKG-PVG i have flown on both and neither had Y+ although maybe KA are calling there domestic sort of J seating Y+ ?

Or one other possible could be the 6 new A330's may have a couple of rows of Y+ ?? i doubt it but stranger things have happened.

But i would say you already have your answers... Y+ to HKG only, then simply Y.

CX are doing HKG-PVG/PEK but do not offer Y+.

KA also do not have Y+

I had read that the 332 were slotted for some PVG ops, so thought that they may have some Y+ seats too, but there is nothing on the QF website to suggest this.

So seems to confirm that Y+ is only to HKG

I was fortunate enough to get a proper flight back from PVG to HKG on CX - sat in seat 1A - a F seat rather than J :)

I don't think it is much different to how Bestflights market some BA flights.

Ie WT+ to coughet, KL etc and it is only WT+ for the long flight
