Wouldn't it be cool to share our points around

Just realised something - there are many comments from people who are dismayed that they are a few points short here and there. Wouldn't it be great if there was an opportunity to transfer a few points here and there between us? I know the minimum transfer is 5000, but if someone has points that they seriously are not using, well........why not?

Can we start a "pay it forward" or is this another stupid idea of mine.............

I'll have over 5000 points by the end of November - this is a long way off I know, but I am happy to help someone during that month if they really need it.

by doing this will increase the chance velocity account got suspended.

And apparently VA are cracking down on this too.

Family Transfers are exactly that. Points transfers between eligible family members.

AFF also prohibits offering points for sale/trade as it violates the Frequent Flyer programs T&C's too.

I'm sure if Velocity allowed the sharing of points, they'd lose millions of points per year that would normally expire.

Velocity also accounts for the fact that the average member has a certain number of points.

Point sharing would increase the redemption of premium cabins and would probably decrease the redemption of short haul Y flights.

I think the family pooling arrangements are already very generous.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Ahhh I knew there'd be a catch! Of course it would be illegal, immoral and advantageous to points owners worldwide. I now delegate my question to the redundancy pile....
