Would you vote VA Lounges as the most crowded?

I've made a few trips in VA on the BNE-SYD sector and for me I'm voting the VA lounges as having the most crowded feel.

It could be the design layout.

It could be the number of people for the size.

I know on my last trip at the SYD lounge I had to do two laps before I found a seat.

It defeats the purpose of the lounge if it has the same busy feel as the general areas.

I haven't mentioned the coffee queue yet.

Yep, the SYD lounge was often manic when they didn‘t open upstairs (which isn’t exactly a huge space either). MEL and BNE usually chokers during peak times. CBR was less likely to get full (buggerall flights) and the PER Beer Hall has its peaks and troughs.

I don’t miss any of them.

I'd call it a draw between QF lounges and VA ones in BNE, SYD and MEL (and HBA for Qantas :) ). All are uncomfortably over-patronised ATM; status extensions coming home to roost.

Worst VA: Melbourne. Worst QF J lounge: Sydney.

My last time in the SYD lounge and it was the worst I’ve ever seen it: not a single seat to spare. Then I saw that upstairs was open. I walked up and there were four people in the whole area!
Upstairs area is open this afternoon. Stairs and lift access. Seating only which I assume means come back for more food.
