Leaving on Saturday on QF 9 to LHR and notice that this service seems to be chronically late ex Singapore and therefore late into London...We are connecting to Venice and have 4 hours which should give us plenty of time to connect but still the issue of delays are a concern....Technicals with the 380 ??

I doubt it would be 380 related, or it would be common on all routes flown by the 380.

agreed but seems as if delays are occurring out of singapore...a local issue ???

Last April we left SIN on time but arrived about 15mins late into LHR because of very strong head-winds, we did the connection between T3 and T5 in under half an hour (personal best :D )

I guess thats the real issue...we have achieved that quick transfer many times before but really wondering if this will be still possible with a later arrival and more flights landing

According to flightstats, all flights on this route have been running quite late in the last couple of months, although QF9 is one of the worst offenders. This includes 3xSQ, 2xBA, 2xQF

Being held for connecting passengers possibly.
That is what I was just about to post. There have been quite a few reports on AFF of this fliight waiting in SIN for connecting passengers on delayed flights from PER etc.

90% of your fears are never realized....

How did you go?

Spruce you are just so right...Arrived 20 minutes early and we were sitting in the Ist Lounge 25 minutes after the cabin doors were opened....That is a record for us:)
