Flight tomorrow OOL-MEL and noticed this text under the heading, operated by.....
VIRGIN AUST INTL FOR VIRGIN AUST

I must admit I rarely look at these comments, and I'm assuming the aircraft will be a Pac.Blue. Would this be correct? (737-800).

I've checked my other bookings and they all just state operated by VA.

Virgin recently split their Air Operators Certificate within the 737s i believe, so some 737 crew/aircraft can fly both internationally and domestically whilst others can only fly domestically. So i would suggest it is the former. Pax experience is unlikely to be any different.

VA803 (MEL - SYD) on Monday was also operated by VIRGIN AUST INTL FOR VIRGIN AUST by the booking screen.

The 737-800 used on that route is VH-VUW. I think they are changing their aircraft one by one to this new AOC.

I am 99% sure though that you will have an aircraft that flies internationally on this route.

About to board and it looks like VH-VJM (the J may be wrong, I can't see it fully)

I'm pretty sure that the 'operated by' message on their system has some bugs at the moment as they change over the AOC's.

I have a booking that is being operated by 'Velocity Frequent Flyer'...

There is also a Virgin SEAsia...
Bugga, er, umm, there is a VA SEA.
SYD to AKL!
Something is in the pipeline, maybe?
Maybe VA is slowly turning into another Ansett.
Now, if VA flew to KUL, wow, eh, wow!!!
OR HKG.
My eyes won't playing tricks on me, bliss.
Thought I was going troppo.
Ahhh.

Thought so - that is International aircraft. I did a search and they flew that on Brisbane to Denpasar the other day.

I must apologise. All I can say is I must have had a brain freeze when I asked this question. I was thinking only Pac.Blue had the Int. 738's and I'd totally forgotten about DPS, POM and HKT, which fly the VA 738s.......hang I've even flown POM on BSIs myself and still I forgot about them. I must have had a "grey" moment!
