Which airline is most useful to allocate points from a Westpac Altitude account?

I am hoping to save hours of internet time in doing comparisons so hope someone can help. I have almost 150,000 Altitude points that I need to move. I have membership of most FF programmes, but know that the value of these points will vary both in transfer rate, expiry times, ease of use and value per cost. Any tips? Sorry this is basic and will depend greatly on my flying patterns, but I'm just a holiday flyer with about one major overseas flight a year and a few domestic or NZ flights.

From memory, points can be transferred from Altitude to Asia Miles (Cathay), Airpoints (Air NZ), Velocity (Virgin Aust), KrisFlyer (Singapore Airlines) or Enrich (Malaysia Airlines).

The answer to this really does depend on a lot of factors. But as a starting point, I don't recommend transferring to Malaysia Airlines or Air New Zealand. Their programs are two of the worst out there in terms of value.

Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific miles are good for trips to Asia and Europe, but KrisFlyer miles expire after three years. So that's something to take into account.

Virgin Australia is best for domestic flights and trips to New Zealand. And points don't expire as long as you keep your account active.

You had answered your own question.

At at simplest, park the miles where you are planning to use it and that question is for you to decide: SQ, CX, MH, etc.... etc....

Miles for domestic flights are generally considered poor-value return.

Thanks MattG. I've been looking further and with Velocity offering a 15% bonus transfer and being able to transfer theirs to Singapore they look my best option. We have too many points spread among different airlines and some go to waste.

Most likely Europe, but I don't want to end up with too many split memberships.
