Hey All,

As the title says, I have the points and fairly uncertain as to what to use them for. I had originally had them for SYD-HKG, but they're discontinued. I should have warehoused them with MR, but hindsight is a wonderful thing.

So, I'm left with a few options:

1. Spend them. I don't know where.

2. Launder them with a partner. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

3. Sell them. Would there be a market for this amount?

Throw any suggestions my way, because they're gathering dust! :)

I also have around 70,000 VS Flying Club miles.

I was toying with the idea of using them on a LAX-LHR redemption in business but not sure whether that trip will eventuate.

I think the best redemption for the miles would be transfer to Hilton at 2:3 so your 80,000 VS Flying club miles would be 120,000 Hhonors points. Used wisely they can be good value.

Would 80k be enough for JFK-LHR in F ? The Virgin Clubhouse at JFK I hear is quite nice.

go to NZ with Air NZ. It's only 20K in economy or 30K in business. Spend a long weekend in Auckland or Queenstown

Tempting, I have a Amex Platinum Reserve that offers a return flight to NZ, but I'll check their other spending miles.

I have enough for SYD-LA Return! I'll enquire tomorrow about additional costs.

From what I've read it's almost impossible to get an air nz award through a partner, such as Vs. Anyone got experience to the contrary?

I do. Two return J tickets Sydney to Auckland in business early 2014. No problem at all but you have to call. Of course, it was more than a year ago so Air NZ availability may have changed

I've been with SQ to RAR/WLG/ZQN on Air NZ and they show up frequently on United. Very destination dependant, nothing available to PPT and little to the U.S.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
