With not using a single mile now on EK the past 2 years, I have built up a bank of 300k plus miles and are growing month on month, happy to play the op up game, and content if I have to just fly in Y as booked as my flights were planned to work with that.
And with some expiring December 2017, I am starting to think I should have a more firm way to burn some/them sooner than later.
I was looking to do a US flight last year, but have canned that indefinitely. Was going to use the points to upgrade that the whole way.
While I am thinking about going to the USA still to take the family for a holiday, it will more likely be a direct QF, NZ et al as they are not going to handle a FF points run type flight nor handle such if I upgrade myself and they are stuck in Y, nor will I be overly happy that I cannot use my lounge access as +4 isn't allowed.
And yes, I am sure you would love me to donate them to you and yes I know I can and will as I have time look at many options and could come up with a plan on my own - I just thought maybe, just maybe someone throws out an idea I haven't yet thought about that just might be the brain wave I am searching for to get the best burn for my miles out of my normal trans Tasman flying with flights up to China.
