Hi all

My brother-in-law is now sick of Diners and has approx 500,000 Diners points. He has asked me for recommendations on what to do with his points. I check the Diners web site and can't get anywhere with the online info.

Therefore, I'm asking everyone, where can and where should he transfer his points to for frequent flyer miles (I think he wants to cash in some free flights) ?

Thanks

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Diners can be TF to SPG (Starwood) at a 1:2 ratio. From there you can book SPG hotels or TF eg to AA at 1:1 (altho if you TF 20K SPG to AA, you get a bonus 5K). You can also TF directly to SQs Krisflyer at 1:2 ratio, and then book SQ (Singapore) flights.
The website has all the info:
Welcome to Diners Club Australia and choose the "online catalogue", and then "Travel" category.

For FF points it is almost certainly the best to do as kpc has sais-I always used to do this when DC deigned to give me my points.
So 500000 DC points+250000 SPG points. Then transfer in multiples of 80000 points(No 25% bonus if you transfer more than this in one go) so he would end up with 310000 AA miles.
With that you can get 5 one way J awards to europe or 4 F awards,2 J OW awards for 20000-25000 miles-enough for a simple RTW,or 9 return J awards to NZ(or anywhere in Australia).
