Hi all,

QF51 & QF52 in the next few weeks. Does anybody know what version A330 these flights are using. Currently have seats 4B in J both ways, this could be ok, or not so good because of the galley. Depending on the type of A330

Its a A330-300 of which there is only one seat type, you can always check the seat map at checkmytrip to be sure, of course plane subs can occur but unlikely, QF51 has been A330-300 for a long time now.

Looks like an A330-300 will be operating this as everyone above has said.

Row 4 of course on the -300 has one row between it and the galley as opposed to the -200 series where row 4 is the first row after the galley.

Row 4 seems to be good row for the -300, as you are far away from the toilets at the front of the a/c, however the Business Bar is adjacent to the galley, so people will be going up and down regardless of what row you sit in. Plus, noise-cancelling headsets will help drown out any galley noise!

Shouldn't be too worried about the a/c getting subbed for a -200 series, but you never know.

I hope you enjoy your trip!

Cheers.

Having flown this in 1a/1b with mrsdoc, the rows at the front are not really affected by the toilets at all. 1A/B felt quite private (1a especially with the bulkhead and no view forwards and great views out the window.).

Row 4 (or 3,2,1) should be ok (row 5 would be my last choice purely because of the galley).

Note that coming home, it all happens in a hurry with meals as they try and fit in dinner and breakfast and time for you to sleep. The crew we had were very conscious of all of this and I must say were not intrusive at all (until they woke me as requested 45mins from landing so I could scoff breakfast )

I have done the BNE-SIN-BNE flights and the PER-SIN-PER flights on the A330-300's a number of times but unfortunately never in business class.

Still 23B or 23J are not that bad in WHY and exit rows 45B or 45J are even better.
