Just read that United have gone back to the "Fly the Friendly Skies" campaign with Gershwin's "Rapsody In Blue"

United Introduces a Familiar, Reliable, but Risky Ad Campaign - >> The Cranky Flier

Reminded me of my very first flight with TAA and the very catchy "Up Up and Away with TAA" add.

TAA 1975 Up Up and away with TAA, the friendly, friendly way..mp4 - YouTube

That TAA jingle just makes me want to catch a plane!

Still searching for the full version of the jingle, here's an older one:

I like the ad (orchestra on board), I like the music but yes, very Risky! Only invites comparison with the UA of old. Didn't fly it then, but I did do TPAC in F not long ago and there was no 'Rhapsody' from me about that!

I too remember 'Up, Up and Away' - but also the Ansett ad featuring pilot hours and 'We know about flight'. Can't find a clip, sorry.

Then of course there is the old United slogan 'Fly United' . I once had a T shirt with that slogan on it, together with 2 ducks choc-a-bloc up each other.
