Does anyone know the real answer to what is going on with Velocity website for searching and making international bookings? You no longer are able to search & booking online for international flights, you get this message,

We are currently experiencing a technical issue and some of our services for International Flight bookings are unavailable.
For assistance with International Flight bookings, please contact our Membership Contact Centre during the hours 8am-8pm Monday to Friday (Sydney time) on the numbers below:
Australia: 13 18 75
New Zealand: 0800 230 875
Other international locations: +61 2 8667 5924
We apologise for any inconvenience.

I have sent a couple of emails and got a response back stating what is above, no real answers. This has now being going on for about 3 weeks, I get the feeling they no longer will allow any international booking via the website. I am not sure if anyone has ever made an international booking with their international call centre, I have & let me say they make Telstra look good, this is only after waiting half an hour to be told they are extremely busy and leave your details for a call back within 48hrs. I just wish they would have advised us before I transferred 350000 points across from Amex. Honestly this mob have nothing on Qantas, can you image if Qantas went down for 3 weeks, it would be the main news and we would be screaming the house down and asking for answers, I really doubt Qantas would be this stupid and allow this to happen in the first place.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements

They are probably changing all the T&C and enhancing all the things that may be considered "benefits" to their valued loyal "Guests"

Are they doing this, or you having a guess? 3weeks & still going is a long time, dont you think? I am glad they are not looking after my customers.

It's a joke.
I booked MEL-LAX-MEL using points to travel in Y+. Because VA don't allow upgrades made on points bookings (that is what I was told by the Velecity 'team member'), I want to log in and cancel my booking and rebook paying in J, considering the fares are so cheap in J. I am willing to take a hit by losing some points with the cancellation.
But nope. Website down. I am not going to book a flight using $ without first cancelling my other one. I don't want to be stuck with two flights on the same dates.
What is the bet the website will be running again just as the J class fares go back up (if indeed they haven't already).
Yeah I know, poor me, wah wah wah. But it makes me mad brah.

What's more weird is that my flights from 4 days ago hasn't posted. Normally they post within 48 hours after the flight.

Agreed. Very frustrating.

It seems that some of the "team memebrs" have nfi as well! I spent 20 minutes yesteday trying to sort out seating for an upcoming trip in a weeks time only to be told, "no, no no". After I had been worn down and was about to hang up, I get, "oh sir, you are a platinum member, of course I can do that for you ...."

The website is so bad they lost an international booking from me. That and the ridiculous prices for the QF sale, that for once, suited my travel plans!

And whaddya know they posted my flights after writing this post, but they stuffed up my etihad flight, where I should earn 60 sc they posted none.

Do the T&C's allow it? I know if I cancel my J booking I currently hold from a redemption, I get zero points back (ie, cancel and forfeit all the points). Do Y+ redemptions allow points to be re-claimed if cancelled?

I'm not sure. You're probably right. I asked the Velocity team member about this and they put me on hold. 10 minutes later I was still on hold and the person had not even come back to say "I'm still trying to figure this one out" so I ended the phone call. By this stage it was an hour after I had initially called and I'd had enough.

I did the same, booked QF international during the sale. I had to call velocity for another matter today and received the same service as my previous call and the one before that... "pathetic, unprofessional and nfi about their own product or program".
