In May flew to London return on Virgin Atlantic. Included my Velocity number at the time of booking, and on check-in, and my number was printed on all boarding passes.

I've waited two weeks before lodging a retro claim, and have not received any of the points, SCs or even an acknowledgement that I lodged a retro claim. Is there anything else I can do here or do I have to consider the flights wasted from a points/SC perspective?

Ring the GCC and just get them to make sure the retro claim is in the queue

Even with your Velocity number being on your ticket, the points won't post instantly.
We do have to wait for validation of the details to be sent to us, and this can take some weeks.

Understood and thanks for the response, however a couple of follow up questions:

- If I have lodged a retro claim, should I receive an email with a claim number as others on this board appear to have received?
- Some people on these boards have their Virgin Atlantic flights credited after a week. In my case it's now 5 and still nothing. It will bring me close to Gold but I'm close to Gold on Qantas as well and want to book upcoming flights where it's most likely I'll achieve it. In comparison, my recent intra-Europe BA flights posted to my Qantas account within 24 hours. Is there a maximum time it will take after which I should give up chasing?

Thanks
