Anyone else getting this message on the qantas multi city search?

I'm trying to book a RTW award fare and it gives me the following error
  • We could not find fare for the requested itinerary (5685 UI)
Travel plan is SYD-HND-NRT-FRA-MAD-LIM-SCL-AKL-SYD

Not sure what I'm doing wrong :/

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Nothing. The QF multi-city search is awful. To be fair they are not alone.

Might be better trying the OW site, or calling.

Not to threadjack, but I "feel your pain".
I am in the early stages, ADL up to Japan with JAL, via MEL and come back via HKG, HKG - ADL non stop.
No websites will allow this booking, not OW, not CX, JL, no one, probably a staffed TA office would be the only solution.
OW website used to be able to do pricing, and have the red dots of the city were a person wants to go, but that seems to have now gone.
Guess in your and my case OP, we would need to go to FlightCentre or an OTA and pay them their fees to be able to do as we wish.
In your case, it would be flying with QF and also airlines in the OW alliance.
Would be great if the OW website could be tweaked to again allow multi city stop overs.
Instead of having to contact a staffed TA/OTA.
As for your error code, not sure what went wrong.
Its just like my "oops" error when I type ((multi city stopover in the one world alliance of airlines)).
Edit: Kermatu, I did try the OW website, it only now allows one way or return bookings.
Have tried the CX website too, they only allow flights with them and Cathay Dragon, and to a limited extent, JL but not other airlines.

Yup, been there with the QF multi-city booking. Their response on the phone was that I'm attempting to book a segment they are not able to sell (a Europe to North America segment). If I had changed the first destination in NA (to e.g. NYC), it would have gone through OK. You may be better off with a TA on this.

Are you trying to book award seats on points or a paid RTW fare? They're different animals.

If it's an award fare, the message you are getting is quite common on complex itineraries, especially those including IB, IME. You will probably need to book over the phone and ask for the phone assistance fee to be waived.

Award.

I will get in touch with Qantas and see what they say.
Every single time I call them they have 1 hour wait time :/

Have you tried using a different internet browser? Occasionally that will work but you may need to try a couple of times.

If/when you call, have all the details in front of you. Give them dates, times, cities, flight numbers, etc.; the quicker and easier you make it for them, the better chance you have of getting the phone assistance fee waived.

Good Luck.

Had the same issues over the weekend when trying to book a multi-city award flight from Melbourne to Japan to KL back to Melbourne.

Tried calling them but the guy on the phone was really unhelpful
Tried the SMS method but got no where as well
Tried the FB chat with Qantas and finally got a representative to sort the booking out for me (although it took them 15 mins to respond to every single chat message)

I've had the same problem with both QF and SG. I think it gets a bit complex for their system.

Quick question, is that for a revenue booking?
Or an award booking?
Ta for the tip and putting it on here though.
Might have to resort to what you did, when the time comes in my case, if yours was a revenue booking.

It was for an award booking.
I believe revenue booking should be fine but don't hold it to me.

I hope you don't have to go through what I went through.

Yeah seems like Qantas' award search is just plain borked at the moment. Can't seem to get any seats to show up on direct flights (the seats are definitely available). Will give the FB chat thing a go.

Yeah I've noticed the same with JAL flights. I can't get my head around this. JAL flights seem to only show up as connecting flights (domestic or international connection), e.g. SYD-HND connects in MEL, and MEL-HND connects in SYD.
WTF?

How did you go speaking to Qantas?
