For anyone interested, Vistara, a relatively new carrier in India and half-owned by SQ offers a status match. Not sure how long it will last: :: Club Vistara :: (scroll down to "Complimentary Tier Match" and fill in the details requested.

"
Since we only launched our services on 9th January 2015, we understand that you are an elite tier(Gold and above) member with FFPs of other airlines. To reward you for choosing Vistara, we would like to extend our Complimentary CV Gold tier membership to you.
Once you share your details, you would be upgraded to our complimentary CV Gold tier for a period of 3 months. During this period you either have to -
Earn 9000 Tier Points or take 12 Vistara flights, for upgrade to CV Platinum membership for the next 12 months.
Or
Earn 6000 Tier Points or take 6 Vistara flights, to retain CV Gold membership for the next 12 months.
In case you do not meet the evaluation criteria in the stipulated time, you will still enjoy the privileges of CV Silver membership for the next 12 months.
"

Note: you will need to have registered for their FFP called Club Vistara (CV): https://airvistara.com/trip/clubVistara so you can give them a CV ID as part of the status match request.

Process for me was very straightforward, I sent them a pic of my Velocity card and they responded with a positive confirmation in 2 days.

Of course, you can credit points to your Kris Flyer account. :D

Bugger, I am a no account, low tier f/flyer, not a chance in hell of getting this......LOL!! I'm still waiting for the Germans to come back to me with the Airberlin Silver freebie! :-(

This looks good, but no chance I'll use it. Might get a new card though! :p

They haven't sent me a card :( but I do have a e-Card which does not have the same feeling at all...

I've had a couple of trips out to India this year and maybe a couple more next year, so worked out well for me. Vistara's service and quality is excellent HOWEVER they cancelled one of our flights without informing us (they allegedly tried to call and sms but no email) which nearly ruined a part of this trip...luckily I caught it 2 days prior, they refunded the tickets as one would expect and I re-booked on another airline at virtually the same price! Hope these are only teething issues, it being a new airline and all!

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
