Hi Guys
i was just wondering if anyone had any experience upgrading these flights using points? Since both parties gets points and status credits for the flights in hoping the answer is yes?

my other question is does anyone know if you can book higher than saver eg. A Flexi so that I could use my platinum complimentary upgrades? Thanks heaps!!!

The only fares you can book with the Virgin credit card 2 for 1 now are Saver Fares. Once booked the normal upgrade rules apply, I.e. Points or upgrade me premium bid. You can no longer book Flexi fares and use your comp upgrades.

Regarding upgrading, when I booked using this perk recently the Guest Contact Centre were explicit in saying that the fares were not upgradable. That said, attempting to upgrade using points was an option when I logged in to manage the fare (I did not avail myself of this option).

Regarding booking different fare classes, this was previously possible but is no longer the case. The terms and conditions are very explicit about all fares being Saver or Saver Lite (they need an update now that Saver Lite is no longer available) and this was also made explicit whilst booking.

Given the number of available segments under this offer is visible when logging in to the Velocity Frequent Flyer site, I've no idea why it cannot be booked online!

Hope this helps. :)

Can anyone link to the T + C's which state you can't book Flexi's? Everything I have read states you can, but it seems you can't from the info here!
