Hi All,

I'm a paid up Virgin lounge member however I have the following query:

I have a trip coming up to NZ next month and will be flying on AirNZ's 787-9 with NZ flight codes. I then have a series of domestic flights in NZ before returning to NZ again on the 787. My understanding is I will be allowed access into domestic Koru lounges with my Virgin lounge membership however on my return flight Auckland-Perth, due to having an NZ flight code, I won't be able to use their international Koru lounge.

I'm returning in premium economy if this may help sway them, do you think they will still grant me access into the lounge on my return flight?

Cheers

Virgin Lounge Members are eligible to access the Auckland Koru Club for AirNZ flights to Australia :)

As long as the flight also has a VA number (so its a codeshare service) you should be fine. It shouldn't matter if your booked on the NZ number.

IF they knock you back, this is just what happened to me, but a big if. If you get access, great, if not, $$$.
Premium economy on Air New Zealand, no access to the Koru Club at AKL airport.
I asked and they said, only Business and Works Deluxe have access.
I sat in 23A premium economy on the 777 2/777 3, AKL to MEL. Row 23 is a herringbone, facing the window, and a single seat by itself, so I wasnt (for once) mistaken on where I sat.
In the end, though, I paid Nzd$55 for the entry, free wifi (better than the wifi outside, where its a hit and miss low mb limit, for which you then get cut off), good breakfast (for you probably a lunch), no view out the window of the Koru Club (opaque covering)...
Also, if you go to Air New Zealand: Book Flights NZ & International Online, and look at premium economy fares, there is no mention of access to the Koru.
