Hi all as above, need to go to Honkers and my QF anniversary isn't till November so I figured I'd requal for DJ gold as I quite like the offering from DJ nowadays.

The Y+ offerings are $700 cheaper on a "K" class ticket with VAtlantic as opposed to code share through DJ. I have searched around and everything leads me to belive I will earn my 90 SC each way for my DJ velocity account? Flying on Virgin Atlantic ticket, or am I missing something?

Don't see any reason why you wouldn't.

Off the velocity website. K is an earning class on VS

Promotional Economy (E, Q, N, X, O)
0.25 Velocity Points
Discounted Economy (R, L, U, M)
0.5 Velocity Points
Full Economy (Y, B)
1 Velocity Point
Premium Economy (W, K, H, S)
1.25 Velocity Points
Discounted Upper Class (Z, I)
1.5 Velocity Points
Upper Class (J, D, C)
2 Velocity Points

Thanks guys, only thing is the baggage allowance is down compared to QF WP but I can probaly live with that. 180 SC puts me about 90 off requalifying for DJG and I have a CHC to SYD flexy coming up as well.

If you can hitch a ride out to HK somehow and stomach a Y seat back, Singapore airlines HKG to Syd is around $500 maybe, and earns 100 SCs.

Thanks but it's Y+ for me, and I am not fussed on flying Singapore airlines.

One way in economy for ~$500 and 100 SCs? So for ~$2,000 one requalifies Gold?

You have to be careful , as most SQ cheap fares are booked into N class - a non earn class for VA
