Only 18 pax on an A333? That's a really bad load figure! Staffax would have been almost 1:2

However, glad that all are OK. Repair bill will be long & expensive.

Maybe ATC didn't realise that the A333 wasn't a seaplane

Landing was at night, around 1940hrs...maybe crew should have not relied entirely on ATC and considered alternative airport.
