Vietnam Airlines any good

With Vietnam Airlines getting new planes, I was wondering if anyone had flown with them lately. They are cheap, is this reflected in the service.:?:
I have read a flew reviews and they are favourable.
Thoughts please.

I've used them within the last month. Nothing amazing, but not awful.

Had a couple of domestic flights with them last year and found them quite good. It wasn't QF "full service" but i enjoyed those flights more than the Jestar Pacific sectors. I'd be interested to try them longhual

I have flown a few domestic segments with VN and they were fine (in both Y and J). Work colleagues flew SYD-SGN-SYD with VN late last year (QF codeshare) in Y on a B787 and enjoyed it.

Hi, yes I have flown them many times on their a320, a321, Boeing 777 internationally and domestically. My last flights were in January 2017 in J and I find them very accommodating but unfortunately there is no IFE in their A320 & A321. If it's the service your after I find them better than QF ,BA in J. But SQ is the best for me so far.
Their lounges are pretty good too.
