hi guys

I'm sure this has been asked many times before but I'm having trouble getting my head around it all.

I have a velocity account with about 13,000 points and 190 status credit (for all my domestic flights)

and a Flying Club account with 33,000 mileage and 4 tier points (for all my international flights)

I fly a combination of domestic (2-3 times a month) and international (once every 2 months), mostly departing from sydney.

from what i understand i can't merge the two accounts together so it makes more sense to just accumulate points in one single account only. Ive never really used the points for anything before but my main use will be for international flight seat upgrades and international lounge access. Im not fussed about any domestic upgrades or lounges.

So my question is, shall i claim all my domestic and international flights onto my velocity account? or my flying club account?

Thanks!

Velocity (Aust) does not (yet) have international flight seat upgrades so if that is your prime requirement no choice
Does VS Flying club have international flight seat upgrade with miles/points on the flights you take?

YEs it does. But only good on flights to Europe/ HKG from Australia obviously.

VS is very handy for car rental credits, I have both.

I found no value on VS flights so a while ago (before Velocity rebranded) I transferred them all across to Hilton. I wish I had of kept them now

I'd have more options to use them now, especially from HKG to LHR ...could have gotten a return flight out of the points I had and flown MEL/HKG via Velocity, so getting points/status credits etc.
But I ended up with quite a few Hilton points also which wasn't so bad.

i think i might stick to velocity cuz they can provide upgrades on australia-departure flights and it seem i can accumulate more miles and points with velocity when i fly domestic?

any ideas anyone?
