Velocity points to Krisflyer

My wife and I have approx 200K velocity points each. We both have Krisflyer membership and want to transfer the velocity points to Krisflyer.

Should I do a family transfer of velocity points and transfer that total amount (approx. 400K) to one Krisflyer account only - say mine? or should we just transfer individually? Does it make any difference?

We want to use the points for some flights around Asia.

Best you TF all the Velocity points to one account (can do up to 4 x100K velocty pts TFs per year), and then TF those Velocity points (instantaeous) to one KrisFlyer account as needed; the other person will need to be a redemption nominee of that Kris Flyer account.
