VA Status Credits For Flying Ethiad

I am just wondering if I could earn the same number of VA Status Credits if I fly Etihad.
I have trip to Mumbai flying J from Melbourne and return. I would want to earn maximum Status credits for the same.

What do you guys recommend ? Book EY and add VA FF or book via VA. Booking via VA is however 2000$ more expensive.

Just look up the Velocity fare class tables - generally you'll earn the same number of SCs whichever way you book a J fare, if it earns at all. You will most likely earn less points, depending on status bonuses etc.
