VA lounge checkin flying VS BNE SYD HKG

As VA gold can I still check in at the VA lounge in Brisbane if I have hand luggage only and would seat selection on the BNE SYD leg be available at the lounge (not available online). Booked the ticket direct with VS.

Assume you are on one ticket and only transfering in Sydney and you want to be thru checked in all the way to HKG ? If so you will have to chek in down stairs as technically a International journey and the lounge staff wont be able to do that for you. ( need to verify passports etc )

Thank you, I am looking forward to the trip. I have never flown VS before or an A340. Sadly given the competition on the HKG route, I can't see VA taking it on any time soon.
