Flying later this year SYD-LHR via AUH in J with VA Platinum status.

The flight from AUH-LHR is a VA codeshare flight operated by EY. Just wondering if anyone has ever experienced a complimentary upgrade for this scenario?

Assuming you mean J to F?

Then my answer is no.... however I have had 4 upgrades from Y to J on the European sectors. (never LHR) I was always on a VA ticket being in Y+ from SYD-AUH. Sorry, doesn't exactly answer your question with a positive spin.
