Hi,
Can anyone give me a quick guide to upgrading an SQ "W" fare ticket (SIN-MEL) to Business, using VA points?

Is it a good use of points or am I better off considering a cash upgrade?

Thanks,
Dom

A cash upgrade on SQ is likely to be the actual fare difference and nothing less.

And this is the only way of upgrading a W fare class ticket, paying for a change to a commercial business class ticket. To upgrade using Krisflyer miles it needs to be in E, B or Y class (and of course the said Krisflyer miles can be obtained by transferring VA points at a ratio of 1.35:1).
