Using Amex for ATM cash advance ?

Does anyone have experience with using an Australian-issue Amex charge card (Plat/Centurion) for ATM cash advances ?

I assume they charge interest & a cash advance fee

Is there any risk of the Centurion being eaten by the ATM ? (happened to me at 2 shops in Zurich)

No experience, but I do know you have to call Amex and request the feature to be enabled. They will be able to tell you the fees.

AFAIK in order to use this facility, you also need to go through a CTF/AML ID check which means filling out a form and doing a 100 point ID check (with certification).

I was thinking of enabling this before but gave up as I saw there was probably little gain for the trouble.
