Hi there,
I have accumulated 1.2 Mil Amex points and need to move them from my Amex account this week.
I would like to book some FF flights next year, preferably with One World.
I would also like to use some for Hotel accommodation.
Any advice on which programme(s) to shift them to would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know anything about AMEX points because my Amex sweeps direct to Velocity.
My bank AMEX cards also direct sweep.

It may assist though if you mention what type of Amex you have, do you have a choice of where to send points to etc.
A bit more info is perhaps better than not enough.

If you must move them without working out your travel plans, the most flexible option will be to transfer to SPG. You can then transfer to many, many airline programs and may let you use them for hotel stays as well.

If you can pin down some more details of your travel plans, then you may get better value transferring from Amex to CX or MH which are the two OW transfer options direct from Amex, but that will limit your options.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

CX (Asia Miles) could be a good option. A oneworld multi-carrier award (the CX equivalent of QF's oneworld award) costs 190,000 miles in business class. That gives you up to 35,000 miles on oneworld airlines with up to 5 stopovers. (The equivalent award using QFF costs 280,000 points).

There are also reasonable value one-way & round trip redemptions.

Although, I believe CX miles may expire after a few years.

Thanks Buzzard, the points were earned with an Amex Green Corporate card and also a Platinum Debit card.

Have you told the company you are leaving yet?!!
I agree with Asia Miles - fair redemption rates and low taxes - if you must use OW.
My preference would be Kris Flyer though - you cant beat SQ IMHO, though their taxes are high.
Both CX and Kris expire after three years.

Move them to SPG and krisflyer. 1.2 mil is enough for a couple of trips with accom, so can get you somewhere at least.

I'd do a few R from SIN and burn on some luxury collection nights. I'm at blue palace myself currently!
