Trouble finding Qantas/Jetstar flights over Christmas to New Zealand

Hi,

I am wanting to travel from Hobart to either Wellington or Christchurch over the Christmas period and want to use Qantas or Jetstar as I am a Qantas Club member.

The Jetstar website is not showing any flights at all to New Zealand - is it too far ahead for them? I thought you could book a year ahead?

Qantas is only showing flights through Sydney - don't they fly to New Zealand out of Melbourne?

Jetstar only have flights about 9 months out

No QF flights MEL-CHC. They dropped them few years ago. Now only Jetstar
QF do fly MEL-WLG and MEL-AKL and SYD-CHC. All on B737's now

And when/if the EK/QF trans Tasman agreement is approved would not be surprised in more QF flights get dropped.
EK fly MEL-AKL with a A380 and SYD-CHC with a B777. EK used to have MEL-CHC
The A380 always has seats. Bus class can be good value at times.

As a regular on MEL-CHC route I now fly Virgin & Air NZ
But JQ has an evening departure CHC-MEL
