Some travel agents are fine for this sort of thing, others are very good (and other agents shouldn't go anywhere near such trips). It depends on the complexity of your plans as to which sort of agent you'll need.

Even within a general travel agency (like flight center), there are individual agents who are good at this sort of ticket, and others who are terrible.
