I will be traveling soon PER, SIN, LHR, CDG. First leg on QF second leg on BA, as I will be in transit at LHR do I need to collect my luggage there then check it in again for the CDG flight? I can't remember from my previous trips but I have a feeling that you have to collect your bags on the first entry point to a continent. Time is not a factor as I have an 8 hour layover (thank goodness for Business Lounges).

I look forward to your comments and wisdom.

If it's tagged all the way, just go through to flight connections, no need to worry about luggage.

Check your flight details but you should be arriving and departing in LHR T5 which is the best place to be. If your in J or F then you will have access to arrivals lounge if you want to depart the terminal (probably not) but there are good showers etc in the T5 departures lounge. Just check which gate is closer to lunge on T5 the main or south end, its on the BA or BAA website.

There are plenty of shops and sights to see in T5 too, so you wont be too bored...

Thanks for your responses and yes I am sure I will not be bored at LHR.
